The Tiruchirappalli District Museum ( also known as the Government Museum) is a prominent cultural repository located inside the historic Rani Mangammal Mahal near the Town Hall. Established in 1983, it houses over 2,000 artifacts, including ancient stone sculptures, medieval coins, prehistoric relics, Tanjore paintings.
